Sophie Hurley - Trainee Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor
My practise is grounded in providing a safe and non-judgmental space to explore together what you wish to bring with sensitivity, warmth, and respect.
I offer counselling of an Integrative nature, meaning I may draw on a range of therapeutic modalities to best suit you and your individual needs. Aiming to support you in rediscovering your own innate wisdom, whilst creating space to explore a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences.
With a background spanning almost a decade working with complementary and somatic practices, I have a rich tapestry of mind-body knowledge that continues to inform my approach — believing that the mind and body are intertwined and both invaluable to acknowledge. Incorporating bodily awareness alongside thoughts and feelings in the work together.
At the heart of my way of working is building a relationship where you feel welcome, safe, and supported. Holding a space you feel comfortable to meet yourself in and find ways to move forward that feels right for you.
As a student member of the BACP and working towards completing my diploma in Integrative counselling, I adhere to their ethical framework. Ensuring I am working safely and to a high standard of practice.
